I've been trying to do some matte painting, but it's definitely been a struggle. I've been looking at lots of tutorials, and trying to figure out how to apply it to my own work . Below is my first attempt, which I'm disappointed with, I have to remember that it's a start. I guess you learn from the mistakes and move on.

What's matte painting? You're disappointed? Really? I think the desert one looks like a photo! It's only when I look at the sky that I can tell it's a painting!
