Pieces of Sky

Here's a painting that I completed for my portfolio, and it was painted with gouache.  This week I'm taking a little break from painting, and focusing on getting Lance ready for the horse show next weekend.  He looks funny though because one of the other horses chewed off his mane at the front.  He looks like he had a buzz cut, until about 3 inches behind his ears, where the mane goes long again.  I think it makes quite a statement!
