Buzz Lightyear Mighty Mugg

So recently Dan of Labyrinth Books asked a bunch of us at work if we'd like to create a Mighty Mugg character for charity. So this is my version of Buzz Lightyear. Sorry the pictures are so bad. There's a gallery showing at the beginning of August so check out the above link to go to Dan's blog for details.

Traditional Work from last year

These paintings were all completed last year.
The top one is a large format watercolour of a cymbidium orchid.
The rest are oil paintings done from life.

Other Work

Bottom is Gouache, top is Painter.

Angora Napkin

These are from a production by Troy Little called Angora Napkin. I may get in trouble for having them up so they'll have to be taken down soon. They were done in Painter.

Locations from Geirald

So these are the finished locations for Geirald. Throughout the film, I wanted the backgrounds to be very simple, in composition, and form so that the spiders would stand out. Kind of like if you were using a macro lense to film the characters. I wanted to achieve a kind of misty, foggy quality throughout. Also the last location is at the end where Geirald is able to spin beautiful webs so I wanted that one to be the most intricate location.

Geirald Final Film Stills

It's been quite a long time since I've posted. I've been working in
the real world, and locked out of my blogger account. But now that
I'm back, I've decided to start where I left off. So here are some
still frames from my film Geirald the 5 Legged Spider.

It took a long time to complete, and I almost didn't make the deadline, but things worked out and my computer stopped crashing long enough to render and hand it in. I wanted to thank everybody, my friends and family and all my teachers that helped me make this film!
